I’ve been a writer for decades now and it’s weird for me to say that it has been this long! I grew up spending hours turning the pages of dictionaries and thesauruses—learning new words and taking notes of words I wanted to try to use in conversation or in my diary. I was slightly obsessed with diagramming sentences and finding the perfect adjective or word picture for what I saw in my head. Then came school. And more school. And then, even MORE school. This means papers. And more papers. And I then, even MORE papers. Years of honing my writing means that I can see what is needed in any written material in order to turn it from good to fantastic.
